When I go back home to visit my Mom I make it a point to capture imagery of my grandfather or Big Willie as I like to call him. The last year and a half has been a difficult one for my grandfather as he lost the love of his life of 50+ years to Alzheimer's. He hasn't lost his spark or smile through it all and I admire his strength. He always has a story to share and I'm always ready to listen.

This is an ongoing project that I'm working on and will capture on each of my trips back to North Carolina.
